question_lint, needs_replay, the needs module and the local-checkout
loaders now live in uhhm/iris, which depends on this crate as a
library pinned to a release tag. The tarball ships the matching iris
binary (IRIS_RELEASE in publish.yml) in place of question_lint, so a
site that pins nothing extra keeps a lint at current/iris. Portal
loses about 1,100 lines and keeps only what runs at request time.

Until now nothing outside a live site exercised the NATS side: the
aggregate engine was tested by in-memory replay only. This test
submits an answer, moves it from a desk through the engine, checks
that an undeclared move and an unknown record are refused, and reads
the record back from its own event log. It runs when
PORTAL_TEST_NATS_URL is set; CI starts a throwaway nats:2.14.6-alpine
with JetStream for it and tears it down. Without the variable the
test passes as skipped, so `cargo test` stays green offline.

A simulation that lives in JSON never meets the engine. needs_replay
takes a simulation's cases and runs them through the code the site
runs: answers::store_answer for the submission, aggregates::transition
for each desk move, against a real JetStream with its event log and
its refusal of undeclared moves. Buckets are then read back by
replaying each record's events and reported per bucket against
`done_when` and `success`. `--report-only` takes the same scorecard
from any JetStream, a live site's included.
First run, 30 cases from a generated contractor site on a throwaway
in-memory NATS: 30 aggregates, 56 transitions accepted, none refused.
The same routes against the earlier machine that skipped a stage: 8
refused, 8 of 12 enquiries left in `open`.
The local-checkout loaders move from the lint binary to `portal::local`
so both tools share them.

Resource-fed cards follow the same convention as every other
description: links live there, sanitized by render_inline_markdown.
Carries the per-recording report link on place pages.

Alternative and feature descriptions render links, emphasis and code
(pulldown-cmark, html feature only). Block structure flattens to one
paragraph, raw HTML is dropped, link targets are limited to https,
mailto and site-relative paths. A link belongs in the prose, so the
title-link field shipped in 0.3.7 goes before anyone uses it.

An iPhone kept a heuristically-cached portal.js across three releases
(cached before Cache-Control: no-cache existed) and loaded it against
fresh wasm - its snippet imports 404'd, hydration never started, and
the gesture field never mounted. With hash-files = true every pkg
file is content-named and the freshly served page references exactly
its own bundle; hash.txt ships beside the binary (leptos resolves it
next to current_exe), the shell links the stylesheet through
HashedStylesheet, and instances set LEPTOS_HASH_FILES=true.

pkg files keep stable names across releases, so an uncontrolled
browser cache could pair last release's wasm with the new server's
server-fn wire format - every page then renders its error branch
(redoal.com's 'Nothing here' after v0.2.0). Cache-Control: no-cache
on /pkg and /yes.js makes clients revalidate (a 304 per load) instead
of guessing. The content-declared site title also moves out of the
question Suspense: remounting with each navigation lost the
leptos_meta race to the compile-time fallback, flipping redoal.com's
tab to 'uhhm' on the first client-side nav.

cargo release <level> bumps, tags v<semver>, and pushes; publish.yml
reacts to the tag and attaches the artifact to that release. Plain
main pushes now run tests (test.yml) instead of publishing build-<sha>
artifacts on every push.

Six hand-maintained copies of the bucket->aggregate-type table
(4 per-type State enums, content::aggregate_type_for_bucket +
is_valid_transition_target, answers.rs's two dispatch matches,
backfill_events.rs's own migration table) collapse into one:
questions/aggregates.yaml, loaded and hot-swapped in AppState.aggregates
the same way AppState.questions already is. aggregates/mod.rs's
replay/create/transition now run off a runtime-loaded AggregateSchema
instead of a compile-time AggregateKind trait impl per type - the
CAS/JetStream mechanics underneath are unchanged. A new aggregate type
is now a content-only change, no portal deploy required.
backfill_events.rs is deleted outright rather than ported - its
migration job was already done and production data here is minimal
and expendable (the EVENTS stream gets purged by hand post-deploy).
