Landing page: talking points drawn from the zine

A new alternative, "Meet a network with no list and no landlord",
carries seven feature cards lifted from the redoal repo's zine and
intro-video script: the drawing-as-address trick, no middleman,
voices at a place, signatures not names, the twenty-four-word
manifest language, the no-reading entry requirement, and the honest
status. The landing description opens with the cold-open line, and
/shape gains a card on what a place holds in the full network.

Nothing here overclaims: every card describes something the redoal
repo ships and tests, and the last one says what doesn't yet.

redoal is a gesture-addressed network — a small network that works
without the things you think a network needs. Draw a line and it
becomes an address: not a username, not a dot-com, the drawing
itself. Similar drawings land near each other, and everything else
follows from that. Draw one below and see who's near.

The computer measures how your line curves, turns, and keeps

Similar drawings get similar fingerprints — two spirals land
like two houses on the same street, a zigzag on another
street entirely. The fingerprint even draws itself back:
a lo-fi sketch of the shape, with zero network calls.

Teaching these machines a new behaviour takes a language of
exactly twenty-four keywords. "When a voice starts, keep what
you hear; when it stops, leave it at this drawing" is about
240 bytes on the wire — and the language has no word for
reading your files or phoning home. You don't have to trust
the author; you can check the dictionary.
